Habitat and Description: Basin covered with Distichlis spicata, Scirpus, Sporobolus, numerous other grasses and Cyperaceae, with Typha in the wettest spots. Nearly prostrate (tips rising) perennial herb, roots in crevices of red rocky outcrops. Glands bright red. Appendages white and showy althought thiny.
