Habitat and Description: Disturbed Chih. desert. Scrub w. Prosopis, Acacia neovernicosa, Opuntia engelmannii, O. imbricata, Celtis pallida, Baileya, Solanum elaeagnifolium, and Argemone. Decomposed loose rocky soils. Spreading annual 75 cm tall. Tips of spines reddish.
