Habitat and Description: Locally common in small patch of aberrant dense herbaceous vegetation among large mesquite on deep nonsaline soil in valley flat between gentle slopes of Cretaceous limestone. Associates include Aphanostephus sp., Aristida cf. longiseta, Artemisia ludoviciana, Bouteloua curtipendula, Chloris sp., Clematis drummondii, Convolvulus equitans, Conyza coulteri, Cucurbita foetidissima, Cyphomeris gypsophiloides, Ditaxis humilis, Evax verna, Gaillardia suavis, Lycium berlandieri, Marrubium vulgare, Nyctaginea capitata, Pappophorum vaginatum, Prosopis glandulosa, Ratibida columnifera, Rhynchosida physocalyx, Salvia reflexa, Setaria sp., Sida abutifolia, Solanum elaeagnifolium, Sorghum halepense, Tridens albescens, Verbesina encelioides.
