Habitat and Description: Local on preserve, more or less restricted to small patch of aberrant dense herbaceous vegetation among large mesquite on deep nonsaline soil in valley flat between gentle slopes of Cretaceous limestone. Associates include Aristida cf. longiseta, Artemisia ludoviciana, Bouteloua curtipendula, Chloris sp., Clematis drummondii, Convolvulus equitans, Conyza coulteri, Cucurbita foetidissima, Cyphomeris gypsophiloides, Ditaxis humilis, Evax verna, Gaillardia suavis, Glandularia sp., Lycium berlandieri, Marrubium vulgare, Nyctaginea capitata, Pappophorum vaginatum, Prosopis glandulosa, Psilostrophe sp., Ratibida columnifera, Rhynchosida physocalyx, Salvia reflexa, Setaria sp., Sida abutifolia, Solanum elaeagnifolium, Sorghum halepense, Tridens albescens, Verbesina encelioides.
