Habitat and Description: Locally frequent in mountain grassland/erstwhile cattle pasture dotted with Mimosa, in stony soils derived from rhyolite on rocky but fairly level upland bench well above valley bottom. Associates include Aristida sp., Mimosa sp., small Prosopis glandulosa, Croton pottsii, Berlandiera lyrata, Simsia calva, Zinnia sp.
