Habitat and Description: Pine-Oak woodland w. Juniperus, Asclepias, Bothriochloa ischaemum, Rubus, and numerous other grasses. Organic material underlain by red sandy soil. Erect fibrous-rooted annual. Frs brown below, green above. In small patches in afternoon shade. Soil damp but not mucky.
