Habitat and Description: Occasional in shortgrass openings within live oak- Ashe juniper woodland on shallow stony clay soils underlain by Edwards Limestone. Associates include Allium drummondii, Carex planostachys, Catapodium rigidum, Centaurea melitensis, Cooperia pedunculata, Croton monanthogynus, Dichondra sp., Euphorbia marginata, Evax prolifera, Gaillardia pulchella, Galium virgatum, Hedeoma acinoides, Lesquerella recurvata, Limnodea arkansana, Medicago minima, Opuntia leptocaulis, Phyllanthus polygonoides, Scutellaria drummondii, Sedum nuttallianum, Senna roemeriana, Spermolepis inermis, Stachys crenata, Tetraneuris linearifolia, Torilis arvensis, Verbascum thapsus, Verbena canescens.
