Habitat and Description: Frequent common in saturated somewhat sandy soils on shaded bank of perennial stretch of creek in bottom of wooded rhyolite canyon. Canyon woodland composed of Acer grandidentatum, Quercus muhlenbergii, Q. gravesii, Q. emoryi, Q. grisea, Juniperus deppeana, Prunus serotina, Celtis reticulata, Fraxinus velutina, Juglans microcarpa, Ptelea trifoliata, etc. Herbaceous associates in creek and on bank include Polypogon viridis, Eleocharis sp., Rorippa nasturtium-aquaticum, Carex 23950, Potamogeton nodosus, P. clystocarpus, Lemna sp.
