Habitat and Description: Locally common in wet clay or sandy clay in and along margin of pothole pond/stock tank on gently undulating landscape of Holocene sand sheet over Goliad Formation. Associates include Eleocharis palustris, Sporobolus wrightii, Ciclospermum leptophyllum, Parkinsonia aculeata, Lycium carolinianum, and Marsilea macropoda.
