Habitat and Description: Occasional on shallow gravelly clay on short gentle slopes and flat benches on limestone upland. Associates include Acacia sp., Acleisanthes longiflora, A. wrightii, Aristida purpurea, Bouteloua trifida, Croton dioicus, C. pottsii, Dalea formosa, Gutierrezia sp., Krameria grayi, Larrea tridentata, Parthenium incanum, Polygala macradenia, Tiquilia canescens, Zinnia acerosa.
