Habitat and Description: Locally common on shallow gravelly clay on short gentle slopes between flat benches on limestone upland. Associates include Acacia sp., Acleisanthes longiflora, A. wrightii, Aristida purpurea, Bouteloua eriopoda, Croton pottsii, Dalea formosa, Gutierrezia sp., Krameria grayi, Larrea tridentata, Panicum hallii, Parthenium incanum, Polygala macradenia, Tiquilia canescens, Zinnia acerosa.
