Habitat and Description: Petals white? Occasional in shortgrass grassland dotted with Nolina texana, on low gravelly stony igneous ridge. Associates include Bouteloua sp., Calylophus hartwegii, Chaetopappa ericoides, Condalia ericoides, Croton pottsii, Cryptantha sp., Dalea pogonathera, D. wrightii, Dyschoriste decumbens, Dyssodia acerosa, Ephedra sp., Gaura coccinea, Krameria ramosissima, Melampodium leucanthum, Oenothera brachycarpa, Penstemon dendleri, Simsia calva, and Thelesperma ambiguum.
