Habitat and Description: Common in formerly hammered cattle pasture on tight gravelly clay on high old terrace. Associates include Acleisanthes longiflora, Ammoselinum popei, Astragalus nuttallianus, Bouteloua trifida, Erodium texanum, Evax verna, Hymenoxys odorata, Lappula texana, Lepidium spp., Parthenium hysterophorus, Plantago rhodosperma, small Prosopis glandulosa, Tiquilia canescens, Verbena wrightii, and Vicia leavenworthii.
