Habitat and Description: Rare in gray silty sand in partial shade of mesquite motte on low loma scarcely elevated (2-3 ft.) above hummocky sand plain of S Texas Holocene Sand Sheet. Associates include Prosopis gladulosa, Zanthoxylum fagara, Opuntia lindheimeri, O. leptocaulis, Celtis pallida, Sarcostemma cynanchoides, Panicum maximum, Urtica chamaedryoides, Cirsium texanum, and Gamochaeta sp.
