Habitat and Description: Rays white, not at all blue. Locally common in fine sandy loam Alfisols in shade of post oak, blackjack oak, Texas black hickory on gently sloping former river terrace. Associates include Aristida sp., Carex planostachys, Chloris cucullata, Dichanthelium sp., Fimbristylis puberula, Hordeum pusillum, Stipa leucotricha, Tridens flavus var. flavus, Vulpia octoflora, Asclepias oenotheroides, Callirhoe involucrata, Chaerophyllum tainturieri, Cnidoscolus texanus, Descurainia pinnata, Evolvulus sericeus, Galium texense, Gnaphalium sp., Helenium badium, Lepidium virginicum, Linaria sp., Nothoscordum bivalve, Oenothera laciniata, Parietaria sp., Phacelia patuliflora, Phlox roemeriana, Senecio ampullaceus, Triodanis sp., and Viola rafinesquii.
