Habitat and Description: Occasional in light colored sandy mineral soil among light gray igneous rocks on gentle slope of low rocky hill supporting open shrubland. Yucca eleata and Ephedra sp. dominant on slope. Larrea tridentata and Parthenium incanum dominant on flat top. Other associates include Condalia ericoides, Croton pottsii, Dalea formosa, Dyschoriste decumbens, Dyssodia acerosa, Eriogonum abertianum, Euphorbia lata, E. revoluta, Hilaria swallenii, Lesquerella fendleri, Melampodium leucanthum, Nolina texana, Prosopis glandulosa var. torreya, Tiquilia canescens, Verbena neomexica, and Zinnia grandiflora.
