Habitat and Description: Rare in small openings in wooded bottom of steep-sided narrow canyon header cut into plateau of Edwards Limestone. Associates include Acalypha neomexicana, Aristolochia coryi, Berberis trifoliolata, Celtis reticulata, Chaptalia texana, Condalia viridis, Diospyros texana, Fendlera rupicola, Forestiera reticulata, Juniperus pinchotii, Melica nitens, Parietaria sp., Parthenocissus heptaphylla, Phacelia congesta, Poa bigelovii, Quercus pungens var. vaseyana, Rhus virens, Salvia roemeriana, Tinantia anomala, and Ungnadia speciosa.
