Habitat and Description: Rare, a few plants in succulent shrubland on extremely shallow stony clay soils on rolling topography on lower part of ridge of Cretaceous limestone just above slopes of steep-sided xeric canyon. Associates include Dasylirion texanum, Agave lechuguilla, Condalia ericoides, Leucophyllum frutescens.
