Habitat and Description: Common in sparse herbaceous vegetation on extremely shallow stony soils on nearly level plateau surface with numerous exposures of Cretaceous limestone. Associates include Acacia greggii, Acleisanthes wrightii, Acourtia runcinata, Chaetopappa bellioides, Dalea pogonathera, Dalea sp. (23771), Dyssodia acerosa, Hedyotis acerosa, Krameria ramosissima, Plantago spp., Senna pumilio, Tiquilia canescens, Ziziphus obtusifolius.
