Habitat and Description: Locally common in fairly well drained sandy loam on former coastal prairie landscape over Lissie Formation. Associates include Aster paludosus ssp. hemisphaericus, Croton capitatus, C. glandulosus, Euphorbia corollata, Gaura filiformis, Hypericum hypericoides, Paspalum plicatulum, Schizachyrium scoparium, Verbena halei.
