Habitat and Description: Occasional in loamy sand in live oak woodland on gentle slope. Associates include Campsis radicans, Carex bulbostylis, Carya illinoinensis, Celtis laevigata, Ehretia anacua, Malvaviscus drummondii, Myosotis macrosperma, Nemophila phacelioides, Onosmodium bejariense, Quercus virginiana, Sabal minor, Sanicula canadensis, Smilax hispida, Spigelia texana, Stellaria prostrata, and Trepocarpus aethusae.
