Habitat and Description: Well-drained sandy stream terrace or ridge, openings and open woodland of mixed pine (longleaf, loblolly, shortleaf) and upland hardwoods (probably remnant pine dry savanna). In clumps to 0.5 m diam. Scattered in openings.
