Locality: United States, Texas, Montgomery, Lake Houston State Park, along and S of FM 1485, 3 mi. E of New Caney, Along W side of Peach Creek, mostly on level terrace of HQ area.

Habitat and Description: Mixed hardwood (laurel oak, white oak, water oak, magnolia, and sweet gum)-loblolly pine forest and disturbance openings. Upper sandy terraces in some places incised by old channels and tributaries. In loose clumps 30-40 cm diam. Dominant herb in ground layer.
