Habitat and Description: Rare at edge of roadbed through forb-dominated vegetation on shallow gravelly calcareous clay loam (Aledo Series) on lower slope of ridge with exposures of Goodland Limestone. Associates include Allium drummondii, Amsonia ciliata, Andropogon gerardii, Asclepias viridiflora, Bouteloua rigidiseta, Ceanothus herbaceus, Dalea aurea, D. nana, Erioneuron pilosum, Heterotheca canescens, Hymenopappus tenuifolius, Lindheimera texana, Marshallia cespitosa, Matelea biflora, Muhlenbergia reverchonii, Oenothera brachycarpa, Paronychia virginica, Phlox pilosa, Polygala alba, Psoralidium tenuiflorum, Rhus trilobata, Salvia azurea, Schizachyrium scoparium, Sedum nuttallianum, Spermolepis inermis, Tetraneuris scaposa, Yucca pallida.
