Habitat and Description: Rare in mostly deciduous woodland on moist sandy loam on bank of small wet-weather stream in bottom of ravine with exposures of Paluxy Sand below and Goodland Limestone above. Associates include Aster texanus, Berchemia scandens, Celtis laevigata, Cephalanthus occidentalis, Cercis canadensis var. texensis, Chasmanthium latifolium, Conoclinium coelestinum, Elephantopus caroliniana, Euonymus atropurpurea, Fraxinus texensis, Helianthus hirsutus, Ilex decidua, Juniperus virginiana, Lobelia cardinalis, Muhlenbergia schreberi, Panicum anceps, Platanus occidentalis, Quercus buckleyi, Q. fusiformis, Q. muhlenbergii, Q. stellata, Rhamnus caroliniana, Smallanthus uvedalius, Smilax tamnoides, Symphoricarpos orbiculatus, Ulmus crassifolia, U. rubra, Verbesina virginica, Viburnum rufidulum.
