Locality: United States, Texas, Harris, At Houston City limit. Corner Brit Moore Rd. and Old Katy Rd. Elev. 90 ft.
Habitat and Description: Ditch bank at railway ROW. Sand w. some clay. Associates include grasses and various herbs. Perennial herb, 1.5-1.8 m. Form dense clumps that stand as tussocks above soil. Conspicuous reddish-brown glumes. Very abundant at roadsides of railway ROW in Houston.
