Habitat and Description: Occasional in claypan savanna vegetation dominated by Isocoma drummondii and Sporobolus pyramidatus, on slightly saline tight soil mapped as Orelia fine sandy loam. Associates include Aristida longespica, A. oligantha, Desmanthus virgatus, Echinocactus texensis, Grindelia oolepis, Iva angustifolia, Lycium carolinianum, Polygonum ramosissimum, Psilactis heterocarpa, Spartina spartinae, Thurovia triflora, Tridens congestus, and Willkommia texana.
