Habitat and Description: Rare, one plant noted, in fairly well drained fine sand or loamy fine sand in bed of firelane plowed along fenceline in mosaic of post oak woodlands and bluestem paspalum grasslands on undulating upland underlain by Goliad Formation. Note size of fruiting calyx.
