Habitat and Description: Rare or past flowering and inconspicuous, in Stipa leucotricha-Limnodea arkansana grassland in stony clay loam in openings of Quercus fusiformis-Juniperus ashei woodland on moderate to steep slope with exposures of Edwards Limestone. Other associates include Aristida purpurea, Bouteloua trifida, B. rigidiseta, Hilaria belangeri, Hordeum pusillum, Tridens muticus, Trisetum interruptum, Abutilon fruticosum, Arenaria bethamii, Astragalus nuttallianus, Centaurium calycosum, Desmanthus velutinus, Euphorbia angusta, Galium virgatum, Hedeoma acinoides, Hymenoxys linearifolia, Lesquerella recurvata, Phyllanthus polyugonoides, Pinaropappus roseus, Plantago helleri, Polygala lindheimeri, Senna roemeriana, and Thelesperma filifolium.
