Habitat and Description: Common in coastal prairie pasture dotted with live oak mottes, on sandy loam on level upland underlain by Lissie Formation. Associates include Agrostis hiemalis, Anagallis arvensis, Callirhoe involucrata, Centunculus minimus, Coreopsis nuecensoides, Cryptantha texana, Dichanthelium sphaerocarpon, Paspalum plicatulum, Plantago aristata, Rhynchospora harveyi, Rumex hastatulus, Schizachyrium scoparium, Silphium gracile, Tephrosia sp.
