Habitat and Description: Rare on ranch, local in wet clayey soil in drainage ditch through claypan prairie on poorly drained +/- flat landscape underlain by Beaumont Formation. Associates include Carex tetrastachya, Coreopsis tinctoria, Cyperus acuminatus, C. articulatus, Iva annua, Lythrum alatum, Phalaris caroliniana, Rhynchospora indianolensis, Rumex chrysocarpus, R. pulcher, Tridens congestus.
