Habitat and Description: Occasional in loose well drained sand of "sandhill" site on moderate slope mapped as Lissie Formation (but perhaps of Deweyville origin?), above S side of floodplain of San Antonio River. Associates include Acalypha radians, Brazoria truncata, Coreopsis basalis, Croton parksii, Delphinium sp., Heterotheca sp., Lantana horrida, Lesquerella grandiflora, Limnodea arkansana, Linaria texana, Monarda punctata, Oenothera laciniata, Physalis spathulifolia, Plantago hookeriana, Prunus texana, Spermolepis divaricata, Stillingia sylvatica.
