Habitat and Description: Rooted in wet sand in shallow water along margin of stock tank in opening in live oak savanna / coastal prairie on nearly level sandy upland underlain by Goliad Formation. Associates include Cyperus ochraceus, Eleocharis quadrangulata, E. montividensis, Ludwigia peploides, Mecardonia procumbens, Najas guadalupensis, Polygonum hydropiperoides, Potamogeton diversifolius, Sagittaria longiloba, Utricularia sp.
