Habitat and Description: Occasional in relatively sparse vegetation on light-colored tight fine sandy loam over claypan on gentle slope and flat along intermittent stream draining sandy landscape of post oak woodlands and coastal prairies underlain by Goliad Formation. Associates include Aristida oligantha, Astranthium integrifolium, Ditaxis humilis, Echinocactus texensis, Eragrostis curtipedicellata, E. secundiflora, Evax verna, Froelichia gracilis, Gossypianthus lanuginosus, Isocoma drummondii, Iva angustifolia, Lechea san-sabeana, Mollugo verticillata, Muhlenbergia capillaris, Opuntia lindheimeri, Plantago heterophylla, Polypremum procumbens, Ruellia nudiflora, Sagina decumbens, Sida ciliaris, Spartina spartinae, Sporobolus pyramidatus, Xanthisma texanum, Willkommia texana.
