Habitat and Description: Common in deciduous woodland on loamy/sandy alluvial soils on occasionally flooded sloping terrace 20 ft. or more above normal level of San Antonio River. Woody associates include Acacia smallii, Acer negundo, Ampelopsis arborea, Carya illinoinensis, Celtis laevigata, Cornus drummondii, Crataegus sp., Diospyros texana, Fraxinus sp., Melia azedarach, Platanus occidentalis, Sideroxylon lanuginosum, Smilax bona-nox, Ulmus crassifolia, Vitis mustangensis.
