Habitat and Description: Common in herbaceous "sandhill" vegetation on loose sand or loamy sand in margins of and openings in live oak woodland on gentle slope just above W edge of Guadalupe River floodplain. Associates include Argemone sp., Bromus catharticus, Centrosema virginianum, Chenopodium ambrosioides, Cnidoscolus texanus, Dalea obovata, Limnodea arkansana, Lupinus subcarnosus, Monarda sp., Oenothera laciniata, Phacelia congesta, Plantago hookeriana, Rudbeckia hirta, Rumex hastatulus, Silene antirrhina.
