Habitat and Description: Occasional in loose fine sand on mostly unvegetated active dunes of South Texas Holocene Sand Sheet. Associates include Acalypha radians, Aristida sp., Buchnera floridana, Cenchrus spinifex, Chamaesyce cordifolia, Chamaecrista flexuosa, Croptilon sp., Croton argyranthemus, C. glandulosus, Dichanthelium sp., Ditaxis pilosissima, Eragrostis secundiflora, Eupatorium compostifolium, Evolvulus alsinoides, Froelichia sp, Galactia canescens, Heliotropium texanum, Hymenopappus artemisiifolius, Monarda fruticulosa, Prunus texana, Rhynchelytrum repens, Rhynchosia americana, Richardia briasiliense, Schizachyrium scoparium, Schrankia sp., Scutellaria sp., Sida lindheimeri, Sporobolus purpurascens, Stemodia tomentosa, Stillingia sylvatica, Stylosanthes biflora, Tephrosia lindheimeri, Tetragonatheca repands, and Zornia brachteata.
