Habitat and Description: Frequent on low limestone bluffs of Edwards and/or upper parts of Upper Glen Rose formations, in shade of bigtooth maple - chinkapin oak - juniper forest on lowest slopes of canyon. Associates include Acer grandidentatum, Quercus muhlenbergii, Q. buckleyi, Tilia caroliniana, Juniperus ashei, Rhamnus caroliniana, Ungnadia speciosa, Aquilegia canadensis, Styrax platanifolius var. stellatus, Chaetopappa effusa, Tragia nigricans, Clematis texensis.
