Habitat and Description: Common on outcrops of Edwards Limestone just above contact with Glen Rose Limestone, on benches and bluffs on steep NE-facing slope, in full sun and in partial shade of evergreen / deciduous woodland. Associates include Adiantum capillus-veneris, Rhus toxicodendron ssp. eximia, Fraxinus texensis, Ungnadia speciosa, Juniperus ashei, Quercus laceyi, Chaetopappa effusa, Ceanothus herbaceus, Perityle lindheimeri, Buddleja racemosa, and numerous species of adjacent mesic slope.
