Locality: United States, Texas, REAL, W side of Big Spring Draw 0.2 airmiles E to ESE of Big Spring (or 0.6 creekmiles upstream from spring), 1.7 airmiles E of roadside park (Scenic overlook) on E side of US Rt 83 N of Leakey, at point noted + or - 24.9 ft and N for perhaps 200 ft. Big Spring Ranch. Circle Bluff Quadrangle. Elev. 1940 - 1960 ft.

Habitat and Description: Local, 25-30 shrubs on upper part of E-facing bluff of honeycombed Edwards Limestone. Associates include other palatable shrubs such as Forestiera reticuiata, Cercis canadensis var. texensis, Perityle lindheimeri, Cercocarpus montanus, Rhamnus caroliniana and Morus microphylla as well as Juniperus ashei, Buddleja racemosa, Quercus laceyi and Berberis trifoliolata.
