Habitat and Description: Rare, a few plants on short gentle open rocky slope in opening in post oak woodland on neutral cherty clay loam on gently rolling upland underlain by Segovia Member of Edwards Limestone. Associates include Andropogon gerardii, Aristida longiseta, A. purpurea, Bothriochloa ischaemum, Bouteloua curtipendula, B. rigidiseta, Croton monanthogynus, Echinocereus reichenbachii, Erigeron modestus, Linum rupestre, Paronychia lindheimeri, Wedelia hispida, Yucca rupicola.
