Habitat and Description: Common in loose well drained whitish sand on level unshaded highway right-of-way on landscape underlain by Carrizo Sand and supporting post oak - live oak savanna. Associates include Acalypha radians, Cenchrus spinifex, Chamaecrista sp., Cnidoscolus texanus, Eriogonum multiflorum, Froelichia sp. (F. latifolia?), Galactia canescens, Helianthus debilis, Heliotropium sp., Phyllanthus abnormis, Schrankia sp., Sporobolus cryptandrus, Tetragonatheca repanda, Trichoneura elegans, Yucca constricta.
