Locality: United States, Texas, Blanco, E side of Blasingame Creek ca. 0.2-0.5 mi S of its mouth at Blanco River, S side of River Road ca. 2.5 roadmiles W of its jct. with US Rt. 281 in downtown Blanco, at N30o05'47.6", W098o27'46.9". Harkinson property. Blanco Quadrangle. Elev. 1380 - 1400 ft.

Habitat and Description: Locally common in patches of native grassland amid a matrix of exotic King Ranch bluestem, in clearings and openings on very shallow stony or gravelly clay loam on very gentle upper slope (above more densely wooded and steeper lower slope) underlain by limestones and marls of Lower Glen Rose Formation. Associates include Bouteloua hirsuta, Stillingia texana, Thelesperma simplicifolium, Vernonia lindheimeri, Wedelia texana.
