Habitat and Description: Young oaks numerous. In Pinus taeda-Quercus stellata woodland w. Quercus spp., Ilex, Vitis, Juniperus, Parthenocissus, Smilax, Callicarpus amer., Toxicodendron, Eryngium, Panicum virgatum, and Campsis radicans (escaped). Uncommon erect annual to 30 cm tall. Badly drought wilted. Fr. glaucous.
