Locality: United States, Texas, Caldwell, 500 ft. W of US Rt 183 from a point 1.1 roadmiles SSE of jct. US Rt. 183 and I-10. Harwood Quadrangle. Elev. 400 - 410 ft.
Habitat and Description: Rare in open post oak woodland on stony sandy soil on gentle slopes underlain by Corrizo sand. Associates include Ambrosia psilostachya, Aristida sp., Astranthium integrifolium, Baptisia bracteata, Chaerophyllum tainturieri, Chamaecrista fasciculata, C. flexuosa, Chloris cucullata, Dichondra carolinense, Galium texense, Hymenopappus sp., Lechea tenuifolia, Oenothera laciniata, Parietaria sp., Pediomelum rhombifolium, Phlox wilcoxiana, Physalis sp., Polycarpon tetraphyllum, Polypremum procumbens, Ptelea trifoliata, Quercus stellata, Rudbeckia hirta, Rumex hastatulus, Sideroxylon lanuginosum, and Zanthoxylum hirsutum.
