Habitat and Description: Rare in seasonally moist soil along broad shallow valley bottom formerly occupied by a stock tank, on gently undulating terrain underlain by Eocene strata of the Jackson Group. Associates include Dichanthium annulatum, Sporobolus pyramidatus, Oenothera speciosa, Marsilea sp., Lythrum sp.
