Habitat and Description: Occasional in shallow clayey Mollisols in grassland component of live oak - mesquite savanna along very shallow drainageway on essentially level plateau upland underlain by Edwards Limestone. Herbaceous associates include Hilaria belangeri, Buchloe dactyloides, Eriochloa sericea, Nassella leucotricha, Cenchrus spinifex, Plantago helleri.
