Habitat and Description: Occasional in herbaceous vegetation on deep, loose sandy soils made hummocky and partially devetated by gophers, in open live oak-post oak woodland on gentle slope underlain by Lissie Formation (perhaps with a veneer of Pleistocene alluvium?). Associates include Callirhoe involucrata, Chenopodium ambrosioides, Cnidoscolus texanus, Croton glandulosus, Dichanthelium sp., Ditaxis pilosissima, Eupatorium compositifolium, Gaillardia aestivalis, Linum sp., Mollugo verticillata, Phlox drummondii, Prunus texana, Richardia brasiliense, Schizachyrium scoparium, Sida lindheimeri, Stillingia sylvatica, and Zanthoxylum hirsutum.
