Habitat and Description: Rare in old hay meadow / fallow field on deep, well drained, neutral to moderately alkaline loam Pachic Argiustolls (Clareville Series) on level topography underlain by calcareous sandstone or caliche of Lissie Formation. Associates include Bothriochloa laguroides var. torreyana, Calyptocarpus vialis, Chamaesyce velleriflora, Cynodon dactylon, Dichanthium annulatum, Houstonia nigricans, Malvastrum coromandelianum, Paspalum pubiflorum, Ratibida columnifera, Solanum elaeagnifolium, Sorghum halepense.
