Habitat and Description: Frequent along margin of mesquite woodland on fine tight sandy soil on very gentle slopes underlain by Beaumont Formation. Associates include Aphanostephus skirrhobasis, Aristida purpurea, Chloris cucullata, Croton glandulosus, Digitaria cognata, Diodia tricocca, Eragrostis secundiflora, E. sessilispica, Evolvulus alsinoides, E. sericeus, Gaillardia pulchella, Indigofera miniata, Krameria lanceolata, Mollugo verticillata, Polypremum procumbens, Sida ciliaris, Xanthisma texanum.
